2020 was an extremely challenging year for annual meetings, yet many membership organisations rose to the challenge and pivoted to a hybrid or virtual meeting. They were rewarded with increased attendance, greater engagement and a wider member base – both demographically and geographically – participating in their meetings. With the uncertainty over how COVID will continue to impact us set to continue, virtual and hybrid annual meetings are becoming the norm.
