There has recently been a lot of ‘noise’ generated on whether the Membership Sector will embrace/adopt AI related technologies. The term ‘AI’ is “doing the rounds” as a bit of a buzz word. The last time it was “member engagement”, however if properly adopted this technology could (amongst other positive/negative outcomes) enable ‘member engagement on steroids”.

The time for debate should now be over (e.g. 95% of delegates at the recent Digital Excellence 2023 conference confirmed that it would play a role within 3 years) and the time is now right to take a clear view on how AI is likely to play a role well before 2027.
